The Door, Event planning, branding & launch: Taste of Community
In 2024, as part of 4-person leadership team, I created and launched a food event—Taste of Community, a new spring fundraiser to complement The Door’s annual fall benefit as a new revenue generation source. As a team, we cultivated new cause-marketing relationships with 18 restaurant and beverage partners and produced a successful event that achieved its main goals: exceeding its revenue target and growing its younger donor base. The Door, LinkNYC digital ad campaign 2023, Ad #1: AlecAnthony
This digital ad was part of a long-term youth recruitment campaign to boost youth engagement and membership for The Door, which offers free, comprehensive services to NYC young people ages 12-24. The ad appeared at LinkNYC kiosks, and I used a mix of internal and external data to geotarget the ads in neighborhoods of highest need across the boroughs. The results were compelling: Membership increased 16% over the course of the following year.

This massive project involved a complete redesign, new information architecture, a site content inventory and enhanced content strategy, creation of new video assets, and a move to a new CMS.

This massive project involved a complete redesign, new information architecture, a site content inventory and enhanced content strategy, creation of new photos and video assets, and a move to a new CMS.
Accenture-Hershey brand book (B2B)
As part of a creative team serving as BSB messaging consultants, I served as content strategist, copywriter, and team presentation lead. We produced custom internal messaging for Accenture account teams to use to keep communications with their clients consistent, aligned with ongoing goals, and on brand. For each client, we created a complete, branded B2B message house; PPT, email, and Teams templates; and a brand book with guidelines on how to make use of provided assets effectively. The sample here is the Accenture-Hershey brand book. Other clients included Dow, Chevron, and Walgreens.

The Door co-founder and former executive director Charles Terry, current BSA teacher Brandon Boyd, recent BSA graduate Shaleece, and current BSA student Quadir share thoughts about BSA one-of-a-kind programs and partnerships, that enable it to provide both rigorous academics and supportive wraparound youth services that meet crucial life needs, all within a welcoming, diverse, equitable, and inclusive community for its students.
